Desktop & Applications Engineer

Helient Systems is hiring!  This is an extraordinary opportunity for a Desktop & Applications Engineer to be an important contributor to the continued success of the area’s fastest growing Legal IT Services Provider and its expanding Professional Services Practice.

To help satisfy the accelerating demand for our professional services clients, we are looking for an Information Technology Professional to provide user and system support to clients within our Greater Philadelphia Area service region. As this position is client-facing, the successful candidate will possess solid customer service and communication skills, strong attention to detail and dependable follow-up.

This opportunity primary responsibility will be the implementation of physical and virtual desktops / applications for delivery to current and future Helient on-premises, cloud and managed services customers. Tasks involved in this role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Windows desktop design, build, deployment and management
  • Desktop application packaging, installation, configuration, integration
  • Application & Operating System deployment automation utilizing SCCM and MDT
  • Platform testing and remediation
    • System performance, tuning and optimization
  • Customer data migration
  • User Environment Control & Profile Management
    • Group Policies
    • Group Policy Preferences
    • FSLogix
    • UPM & CPM
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure design and configuration:
    • XenDesktop
      • Provisioning Server
      • Machine Creation Services
    • XenApp
    • Storefront
    • VMware Horizon View
  • Hypervisor Platforms Installation, Configuration and Support:
    • XenServer
    • vSphere
    • Hyper-V
    • Acropolis
  • Endpoint and user peripherals configuration, deployment, & management including
    • PCs
    • Thin Clients
    • Mobile Clients
    • Printers and other peripheral hardware
  • Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Intune, Amazon Web Services
  • Citrix ShareFile, Microsoft OneDrive
  • iManage Cloud, WorkSite, FileSite and DeskSite
  • Written assessments, design specification and as-built documentation
  • Supplemental engineering support of on-premises desktop and application projects using any of the above applications and systems
