Mainstream websites such as cnn.com, amazon.com, and espn.com have changed dramatically in the last 3 years with an exponential expansion of graphics and video content. Windows 10, Office 2016 and all the modern Internet browsers expect that the desktop machine is equipped with a GPU to render UI elements and enhanced graphical content. Display resolution on the latest monitors has increased 8X since we began building virtual desktops.

VDI grew up in a simpler era where text was still king, and is struggling to adapt to these new demands and expectations. Citrix and VMware are busy enhancing their software solutions to help with the torrent of bits that must now pass from the session to your endpoint device, but software alone cannot save VDI. GPU virtualization, originally developed and implemented for architects, enigineers, graphic designers, and scientists, has emerged as a core requirement for the modern legal VDI desktop. Attend this session for an interactive demonstration of the existential challenge being faced by VDI and a primer on how to implement the technology that has emerged just in time to save the day.
