Sales Support Specialist

The Sales Support Specialist provides administrative, operational, and customer-facing support to the sales organization. This role works closely with Account Executives, Sales Leadership, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure a seamless sales process from lead generation through customer onboarding. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, technologically savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Operations Support

    • Assist sales representatives with quote generation, proposal preparation, and contract administration.
    • Manage sales documentation, pricing requests, and order processing.
    • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records in CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, etc.).
    • Track sales activities, pipeline updates, and forecast reporting.
    • Support the preparation of sales presentations and customer-facing materials.

Customer and Partner Support

    • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, directing requests to appropriate internal teams.
    • Coordinate customer onboarding activities and implementation handoffs.
    • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and strategic partners.
    • Follow up on open customer requests to ensure timely resolution.

Sales Enablement

    • Assist in the management of sales tools, resources, and content libraries.
    • Coordinate training sessions, webinars, and sales meetings.
    • Support lead management and assignment processes.
    • Help develop reporting dashboards and performance metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with Marketing on campaign follow-up and lead tracking.
    • Coordinate with Finance on invoicing, purchase orders, and contract approvals.
    • Partner with Technical and Professional Services teams to support solution delivery.
    • Facilitate communication between internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Reporting and Analytics

    • Generate regular sales reports and dashboards.
    • Analyze sales trends and identify process improvement opportunities.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to sales leadership.
    • Ensure data accuracy across all sales systems.

Required Qualifications:

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in sales support, sales operations, customer service, or administrative support.
    • Experience working in a technology, software, cloud, telecommunications, or managed services environment preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or HubSpot.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting enterprise technology or software sales teams.
    • Knowledge of cloud solutions, managed services, cybersecurity, Microsoft technologies, or SaaS platforms.
    • Familiarity with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) tools.
    • Experience with sales reporting and business intelligence tools.
